In 2013, good Jews tried to warn the Israeli public that a xian zionist visitor's center was being planned in the heart of the Shomron. This plan was discovered because missionary Lars Enarson sent out a prayer request, which stated,
"As the nations of the world now unilaterally reject Israel’s right to Judea and Samaria, a similar initiative is now emerging, this time, however, from Jewish rabbis in Israel! Having noticed the unselfish and unwavering support year after year of the volunteer organization HaYovel led by Tommy and Sherri Waller from Nashville TN, Rabbi Eliezer Melamed has taken an initiative to establish a Christian Zionist Visitor Center on the Mount of Blessing in Samaria, in order to strengthen and encourage Christian support for the so called settlers.
Rabbi Melamed is Head of Yeshivat Har Bracha and is a prolific author on Jewish Law. He is well known in Israel and has a popular weekly column in the Beersheva newspaper called "Revivim." At the moment he is gathering other rabbis in Israel to get behind his historic initiative with a visitor center open for Christians on the Mount of Blessing. We need to pray that Rabbi Melamed will succeed. Melamed has said that it is time for the Jewish people to act like Abraham, and open up the tent in order to receive those that have come to support them. He has gone even further and stated about HaYovel, “If we say no to these people, we will say no to the Messiah!”
HaYovel Ministries is this year once again mobilizing believers in Yeshua from the nations to help the farmers in Judea and Samaria to harvest their vineyards and olive groves. The number of volunteers is higher than ever this year."
People denied or ignored this warning but it has happened. Hayovel will be bringing their first tour of xians to this visitor's center referred to as the Hayovel volunteer campus.
Lodging will be on Har Bracha (Mount of Blessing), at the HaYovel volunteer campus. Rooms are dormitory style, with campground-style bathrooms, showers, and laundromat. The purpose of this trip is to bring xians into the Shomron and introduce them to religious Jews so they can form relationships. Building these relationships is step one of proselytizing Jews. Hear Tommy Waller describe the trip to a group of xians in Nashville Tennessee this past February.
Single men and women will be housed in dorms with several people to each room on cots (similar to bunk beds). Couples will receive their own room with a mattress or bed, and families will receive 1-2 rooms, depending on family size. Bedding, blankets, pillows and towels, soap and shampoo, and other amenities are NOT provided – you will need to bring your own. All meals (unless otherwise mentioned in the itinerary) will be at the HaYovel campus, and prepared by HaYovel’s 5-star chef team. Each Shabbat (sabbath) will include a traditional Jewish sabbath meal. All food is biblically clean, but not certified kosher.
According to the itinerary, these xians will visit Elon Moreh, Itamar, Psagot, Maaleh Levona, Shilo Hevron and Jerusalem. The tour is being done in partnership with Israel 365 and Rabbi Tuly Weiss. They will visit an army base, holocaust survivors and a Jerusalem area soup kitchen. They will learn with Rabbis Jeremy Gimpel and Ari Abramowitz and the Yeshiva for the Nations. Everything missionaries learn about Jews and Judaism make is easier for them to get close to and proselytize Jews.
I wrote in a previous blog post that this was the plan all along, to first get accepted by Jews and get a foothold in the land and only then begin to proselytize.
